    http://www.devalifewear.com carries “Granny Hats” for $10.00. I am looking at page 47 of their Summer Sale catalog. They are made of light cotton in lilac, natural, rose, royal blue and white. I think the fabric is too light for winter use, but you could use it as a pattern and construct your own from flannel.

    When I was a child, we had no central heating and so wore flannel caps like this to keep warm during winter nights.
